Vidder`s note: Okaaay….another ridiculously long video :P This is something I’ve been working on the last two month, and I still think that there’s something wrong with this video, with the storyline, maybe, but I just don’t have any powers or brains left for fixing it xP I made the basic editing in January, and since then (!) we couldn’t beta this video…Yeah…how pathetic is that? :D
Anyway, what this video is about? It’s about Dean. Most people associate this song with Sam, with him going on the dark side, etc, but I figured it’s cool for Dean too. Because who’s daddys favorite soldier? Who’s daddy’s favorite weapon? Yeah, you know the answer. Besides, this song has very nice beats, and I was able to put the whole Dean’s life story in this video.
I started making this video right after 410 episode came out, and I feel like it’s not too topical right now, after the last episodes, but I decided to finish it anyway, because…well, I wanted to make Dean’s character study and it was nice opportunity.
I would really like to say huge thanks to [info]_hopefulness_ for her beta, and for her kicking my ass and saying me to finish this video :D Thanks hun. For everything.
No matter what, I still like this video, because there’s old boys, and there’s “new boys”, there’s season 1 and there’s season 4 as well, there’s old problems with YED and there’s new deal with angels. I believe I covered everything in this video.
I liked the voiceovers in the beginning and in the end, because IMHO they really set us to what we’re gonna see in the video. Well, that was the main idea anyway =) Dean keeps trying to do his best, and in the end he still keep screwing up everything, and he thinks that he’s not the man either of the fathers wanted him to be. I think this is a really emotional line, and I mean not only trying to Save Sam, but everything.

Клип смонтирован просто ВЕЛИКОЛЕПНО! Особенно понравилось начало, где говорится про Дьявола и Сэм вместе с ЖГД сливаются - просто жуть. А сколько было поцелуйчиков! :Р Тока вот концовка уж очень грустная получилась. Т_Т

Это одна из тех случайных находок, кхм, в смысле, вообще-вообще случайных (типа: ща вот этот кадр сюда пока поставлю, потом куда-нить впихну) - и в итоге получилось что-то интересное. Но да, я этого не говорила, это все тщятельно смонтированная сцены! xD

А сколько было поцелуйчиков!
А вот это один из тех моментов, над которыми я до сих пор не уверена :Р Но это ж Дин, куда он без поцелуйчиков?)))

А конец...ну...*вздохнула* Делала же после 410, не могла не вставить.

hey, great vid! i loved it, i was going to download it when i noticed it was labeled as the big version, so i was wondering/hoping that there was a smaller version cause will computer memory can get scarce!

I've been waiting years for someone to made a vid to this Matt Good song! I'm so glad you didn't edit the music for brevity and kept all the instrumentals; it's a long song for vidding but I it builds so nicely I think it was definitely worth the effort. Thanks so much for this. :)

I gotta admit I'm mostly a lurker and hardly comment on anything, but your vids are so impressive, especially this one. I was hoping, almost praying, someone as talented as you would use this song for a Dean vid because I share your opinion about why it fits Dean. I tried to do a vid with this song-character combination, too, but I'm not nearly as good as you and I got stuck in the middle so it's still unfinished. Your vid turned out so awesome and it's very similar to what I had in mind for the song, which hardly ever happens when I finally find a vid to the song I'm looking for, so I can't possibly explain with words how happy it made me to see this. Thank you for making such an amazing and atmospheric video and keep up the great work.
